Beiersdorf సహచరుడు Dr. Paul Gerson Unna మరియు German Chemist Isaac Lifschutz తో కలసి పని చేసే Troplowitz కొత్త చర్మ సంరక్షణ క్రీం ను అభివృద్ధి చేసారు. నివియ అంటే తెల్లని మంచు అని అర్ధం. 

1911 లో నివియ క్రీం తయారు చేయబడింది. ఇది మొదటి స్థిరమైన వాటర్ ఇన్ ఆయిల్ ఏమల్షన్ ప్రవేశపెట్టబడిన క్రీం. ఎమల్షిఫైంగ్ ఏజెంట్ యుసెరిట్ గొర్రెల ఉన్నిలో కనిపించే లానోలిన్ నుండి తయారు చేయబడింది మరియు ఇది నివియ క్రీం యొక్క ప్రత్యెక లక్షణాలకు కీలకమైనది.
